The single biggest reason owners choose precast is time. Here is exactly where that time comes from: what happens in the factory, what happens on your site, and why the two running in parallel changes everything about your project schedule.

Five stages from drawing to standing structure

Design & engineering

Your architect's design is broken down into a kit of castable elements — panels, columns, beams, slabs, stairs — with connections engineered for fast, safe assembly.

Factory casting (parallel with your site work)

While foundations progress on site, elements are cast in Moduco's Surat facility with controlled batching, compaction, and finishing. This parallelism is where most of the time saving comes from.

Controlled curing & QC

Elements cure in controlled conditions and pass dimensional and strength checks before they ever leave the plant — no site curing delays, no weather dependency.

Transport to site

Elements are sequenced and delivered in erection order. Surat and South Gujarat projects benefit from short haul distances from our plant.

Erection & jointing

A crane crew erects the structure in days. Joints are completed, services follow immediately, and the building is ready for finishes far sooner than a cast-in-place structure.

How fast is precast construction compared to conventional?

Precast construction typically compresses the structural phase of a project dramatically because elements are cast in the factory while the site is being prepared, then erected in days rather than cast and cured in place over months. For repetitive structures like industrial buildings, boundary walls, and housing clusters, overall project timelines are commonly reduced by a large fraction compared to conventional RCC. Exact savings depend on project size and design.

What are the stages of a precast construction project?

A typical Moduco precast project runs through five stages: (1) design and engineering, where the structure is broken into castable elements; (2) mould preparation and factory casting, which runs in parallel with site preparation and foundations; (3) curing and quality inspection in the controlled factory environment; (4) transport to site; and (5) crane erection and jointing. Because stages 2 and 3 happen off-site in parallel with foundation work, the overall timeline shrinks.

Does monsoon or weather delay precast construction?

Far less than conventional construction. Factory casting continues regardless of weather, so the production pipeline never stalls during monsoon months — a major advantage in Gujarat. Only the final erection window needs workable site conditions, and that window is short.

Can precast be used for high-rise and commercial buildings in India?

Yes. Precast systems — wall panels, columns, beams, hollow-core slabs, and staircases — are used for residential clusters, commercial and industrial buildings, and increasingly for mid- and high-rise structures in India, subject to structural design and local approvals.
